70% of our body are water. Several conditions, like heart failure or kidney disease, affect our fluid balance. This leads to more than 30 million patients worldwide suffering from symptoms like dyspnea, edema, and collapse leading to hospitalization. The core problem in managing body fluids is, that measurement is quite difficult. Patients can’t monitor their fluid balance at home and even in the hospital doctors and caregivers have a hard time controlling the fragile balance.

BOCAhealth wants to change that. They develop a smart, non-invasive solution that helps patients, medical doctors and, caregivers to manage the fluid balance. Combining the measurement of bioimpedance with machine-learning, they aim to revolutionize body fluid management. Their solution allows patients, caregivers, and family doctors to monitor the fluid household even in the ambulatory setting, enabling adjustment of medication before symptoms occur, preventing hospitalization.
Meet them at our StartUp-Event and learn more about their vision.
